Ruth Ann Hobencamp, a longtime resident of Chester, NY, passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 78.<\/span><\/p>\n

She was born in Passaic, NJ, on November 20, 1947.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ruth was a devoted housewife and ran the O&H Bait shop. She was also a member of the VFW.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She is survived by her loving husband, James Hobencamp of Chester, NY; their sons, George W. Hobencamp of Morrison, TN, and James Edwin Hobencamp of Chester, NY; her grandson Dylan\u00a0<\/span>Macky; her nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Kandise, Ann Marie, Al, Kayla, Michael, Kyle, Sheri, Mickey, Justin, Tommy, Michelle, and Terry; and her siblings, Richard Ofeldt, Elmer Ofeldt, Judy Hanks, and Debbie Budd.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 9am to 11am at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 3 Hu<\/strong>dson Street, Chester, NY 10918.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Burial will follow at Wallkill Cemetery, 160 Midway Road, Middletown, NY 10940.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Final Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Brendan T. Flynn, Thomas F. Flynn, and Megan Morales, Directors and Certified Cremation Specialists of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
